Music Video Research

I chose this video because it uses alot of basic video editing techniques. It was made in 1991 so the technology wasnt as advanced as it is today.
In the video there is alof of split screening/mirroring. I like it in the video when the bass is being played at the top of the screen but you can see all the band members dancing and playing instruments below in the background.
Also it is black and white which is a simple video editing technique, the whole video seems pretty low budget but it fits with the song, the lyrics "give it away" were inspired by an ex-girlfriend of Anthony Keidis (singer) who once told him if you give more things away it makes other people happy and you feel happy for making them happy and the world will be a better place, So the video isnt fancy and sparkly its simple but effective. Also they arnt wearing alot of clothing in the video so that also links in with the lyrics.
